About the SCA (The Society for Creative Anachronism)
The Society for Creative Anachronism is a 501(c)3 nonprofit public benefit corporation whose goals are research and education in the field of pre-17th-Century Western Culture and was incorporated in 1968. The SCA's purpose is to engage in research, publish material of relevance and interest to the field of pre-17th-Century Western Culture; to present activities and events which re-create the environment of said era, such as, but not limited to, tournaments, jousts, fairs, dances, classes, et cetera; to acquire authentic or reproduced replicas of items representative of said era; and to collect a library.
About the Kingdom of Caid
All Kingdom of Caid official information is found in the Crown Prints, the official monthly newsletter of Caid.
- Caid is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., and the Crown Prints is published monthly as a service to the SCA's membership.
- Memberships (which include a subscription) are $35 per year and are available from the Office of the Registry, SCA Inc., Box 360789, Milpitas, CA 95035-0789. Membership information and a membership form are included in the Crown Prints.
- The Caidan web page can be found at: http://www.sca-caid.org . If information differs between Caidweb and the Crown Prints, the Crown Prints should be considered the correct information.
