A&S. Albra reminded everyone about A&S classes at Collegium (Sep 20), Great Western War (Oct 7–12), and Carreg Wen Harvest (Nov 21).

Chatelaine. Aran was absent but sent a report: He will not be teaching a Chatelaine class at GWW, although he will be doing a War Walk and teaching an Introduction to the SCA class.

Chronicler. Rhieinwen was absent but sent a report. She gave her very great thanks to Morgana for delivering her report and the hard copies of The Oak Leaf, and for taking meeting minutes. The Sep issue was uploaded to the Kingdom website; any hard copies not delivered at the meeting will be mailed upon Rhieinwen’s return. She had no expenses because she’s been printing the issues at home and previously bought enough stamps to cover the rest of the year.

Constable. Ismay said there she had nothing to report. She will be taking the Constable class at Collegium.

Exchequer. Mattea said they need to have a meeting at BofA to change the signatories. Let the minutes reflect: Approved new signatories on Shire of Darach Bank of America account—Catherine Robey (Mattea), Kim Thaler-Strange (Catherine), Catherine S. Taylor-Reed (Alia), Linda Ellen Hyde (Ismay), Owen Shribman, and Deborah Fox. For: 10 Against: 0. Mattea didn’t have an exact balance but the last time she checked it we had $8976.61.

Herald. We need a herald!

Lists. Thomasina said she had nothing to report.

Marshal. Wilhelm said we are still having fighter practices.

Quartermaster. Rhieinwen was absent but sent a report. The Shire eric was borrowed for a non-SCA event and returned.

Seneschal. Catherine said Officer Reports are due to Kingdom on Sep 10, so she would like them by Sep 6. Many officers need deputies.

Webwright. Wilhelm said he made some changes this month. E-mail him with changes you’d like to have made. He is looking for a deputy.

Youth Officer. Mayken said she had nothing to report. She is looking for a deputy with a background check.

Guilds

Textile Guild. Albra said Textile Guild is going well.

Brewers Guild. Wilhelm said five people attended in Aug. Sep 10 is the next meeting where they will be starting a new brew. Aran sent a report that he made a second batch of his Brandyfine Lemonade and he will be making more for GWW.

Herbal Guild. Morgana said two people attended the Aug 20 meeting. Rhieinwen decanted her herbal vinegars. There will be no meeting on Sep 17 as it’s the Guildmistress’s birthday.

Scribal Guild. Albra reminded everyone that if you want a scroll, you must contact somebody to get on the list; you won’t automatically get a scroll when you get an award. There will be no Scribal Guild this month due to Pacifica HS’s Open House. There will be a scriptorium at Carreg Wen Academia.

Woodworking Guild. Luzia was not present. Contact her if you want to work with wood.

Calendar Dates. Black Oak Lodge will be Mar 19–21; Anniversary Tournament (including Darach and Altavian Equestrian Championships) will be May 15; Pirate Tournament was set for Jul 24 but we voted to change it to Jul 31 so as to not conflict with Lyondemere Anniversary. Catherine has sent the GWW pre-reg for the Darach pavilion and will do the land allocation tonight.
