Equestrian encompasses a variety of both armored and unarmored mounted activities including speed-based tournaments, jousting, mounted archery, crest combat, parades, de-spooking, driving, and pato. Riders regularly use swords, spears, lances, maces, and javelins while taking an interest in both riding and the historical presentation of their steeds.
All breeds of horses are welcome. Horse ownership is strongly encouraged but not required. Horseless ground crew and event production volunteer opportunities are available.
Equestrian practices are held on Sundays in Somis. Additional joust training clinics and events are held across Southern California and Nevada. Please contact the equestrian autocrat to confirm practices. Some age restrictions apply.
